Baked Brie

Course: Appetizers and Beverages

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp pecans or almonds coarsely chopped
  • 1 small round Brie
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
  • 2 Pepperidge Farm pastry shells

Method
 

  1. Saute nuts in butter with parsley flakes until toasted. Place on top of cheese.
  2. Thaw pastry shells and roll out.
  3. Place Brie on top of pastry shell. Push edges up. Place remaining pastry shell on top, pushing edges down. Seal edges.
  4. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
  5. Decrease temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Let set 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers.

Notes

This recipe is from my mother-in-law. It’s a simple but nice appetizer.
